This checklist is designed to explain personalised wedding stationery and help you prepare the important details of your wedding before you place your order. It is easy to use and shows you how to collate the information you will need when ordering your personalised wedding stationery.
Wedding invitiations:
These are normally sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding day, this allows plenty of time for replies to arrive and numbers for the reception to be finalised. Normally you will need one per family, but it is helpful to a have a few extra copies for any additional guests or alterations to your original invitation list. You can choose the style of wording that you prefer to be printed inside your cards.
Questions to take into consideration when choosing your invitations:
>Who is issuing the invitations?
>What is the Bride's name as you would like printed on the Invitations?
>What is the groom's full name as you would like it printed on the invitations?
>Where is the wedding taking place?
>What is the day, date and time of wedding?
>Where is the wedding reception taking place?
>Where should people reply to?
Evening Invitations:
You may be holding an evening reception or party for a wider circle of friends. For this purpose we provide Evening Invitiations as part of the matching set of stationery.
Questions to take into consideration when choosing your Invitations:
>Who is issuing the Invitiations?
>Where is the reception taking place?
>What is the day, date and time of the evening reception?
>What is the brides name as you want it printed on the invitiations?
>What is the groom's full name as you want it printed on the invitations?
>Where should people reply to?
Reply Cards (RSVP'S):
These are to encourage prompt response. This makes it easier and quicker for your guests to let you know if they can accept your invitiation. Envelopes are provided, printed with a reply name, address and postal code. Reply cards can be sent with your wedding and evening invitations.
The main question to ask is:
>Where should people reply to?
Orders of Service:
If you are to be married in a church, each guest is normally given an Order of Service. This ensures that they follow the order of events for the ceremony. You will need to check the order of the service with the priest or minister for details of the service, including Hymns and music before ordering the stationery. This should be done at least one month prior.
Questions to think about are:
>What is the brides name as you wish for it to be printed?
>What is the grooms full name as you wish for it to be printed?
>Where is the wedding taking place?
>What is the the day, date and time of the wedding?
>The Bridal March "Lohengrin" by Wagner is the traditional choice for the bride to enter the church to, but if you want other music instead or as well, you will need the title and the name of the composer.
>People normally choose two hymns and you will find details in our brochures and sample album. You will need to quote the hymn book name, title of hymn and verses you want.
>If one of the hymns is the 23rd Psalm, please write out the first two lines.
>The Wedding March by Mendelssohn is very popular for the couple to walk out of the church to, but if you want other music instead or as well, you will need the title and the name of the composer.
Place Cards:
To help each of the at the reception, we can provide you with matching place cards. You can choose either a non personalised place card or one printed with the bride adn groom's first names. Some ranges include a small square table card which we will print with the bride and groom's first names and date of the wedding.
